Where I choke down some nasty-ass protein powder

Protein powder? Gross. Don't like the fake vanilla flavoring! However, since I am not a big breakfast eater, I figured I'd give it a shot. We'll see if I notice a difference in energy levels.

Walked last night (brisk walking, hilly, about an hour and ten minutes - no idea how many miles), did swinging this morning. 200 swings, in sets of 20, alternating right and left, also did quite a few transfers in there. Then did 10 clean and press each side, 10 snatch each side, and 20 swings with the 35#. Around 260 reps total. Wanted to get to 300, but the big 'un did me in. My hamstrings were also a little sore from last nights walk. I know, excuses excuses.

I have reigned my eating in considerably. I am allowing myself a little treat after dinner, but only if I have been strict all day, eating mostly fruits, veggies, lean meats, and lower carbs (I cannot and will not do no carb. I like bread and pasta!) I'm not counting calories anymore, it's too much of a pain, and I know roughly what I'm getting anyway. I'm also not going out for coffee anymore. My mochas are like, a thousand calories, and it's not worth it. So it's coffee at home. This coffee:

our local roasting company. And it's organic, too!

We go out of town in a week, to see my in-laws. They live in Mississippi, and my mother in law likes to fry a lot of meat. She lives for feeding people, and it's hard to push away from the table when there's ham, and fried okra, and green beans cooked in bacon grease. I'm bringing my Kbs with me, and I'm going to try to keep the schedule I've been on: every other day, walking on the alternating days. And I'm going to have to show some restraint. Of course, I WILL have to indulge in some Memphis bar-b-q and fried pickles. How can I not?! But no bingeing! (I know those of you who know me are laughing right now. Stop it! )

Alrighty, I have to take my car in for an oil change, and clean the house, and do laundry. And it may be a pool day!
