Where I continue on my quest to kick ass and take names

I met with the KB trainer tonight, and it went awesome! He was impressed with my form and had very little criticism to give! Yeah! His only comment was that the 18# seemed too light, and I should focus more on going heavy. We talked about aerobic vs. anaerobic exercise, and he explained that by getting your body to that anaerobic threshold, you can really melt the fat away. He urged me to not focus on high reps so much as heavier weights. So I am going to challange myself, for the next month, to work mainly with the 26 and 35, and see how it goes. He had me do one handed swings with the 26, and my form held out great, all that's holding me back is fear of dropping it or hurting myself. I had the same fear when I started snatching the 18, I was afraid of dropping it on my head! But I haven't yet, so I think we're all good!

I haven't uttered this here, but I did confide in Doug that I'd really like to try to get certified sometime next year. I think it's doable, if I keep on the path I've been on. I'm thinking next fall, depending on money and such. It ain't cheap! For the first time, I really felt it was within my reach, Doug set some great goals for me, and talked about the certification and what I need to work on. But all in all, he referred to everything as looking awesome. It just felt really really good. I'm a happy girl tonight.

Oh, and I still hate TGUs with the fire of a thousand suns. And now I have to make a real effort to work on them. Boo! I got to do double cleans and really deep squats, that was fun! No, really, I liked those, I'm not being sarcastic.

Not much else - busy as hell with various committees and social things and such with the kids in school, but it's a good kind of busy, not the overwhelmed kind.
